Hand painted furniture

vintage oak chest - handpainted in roman ochre

I have decided to start a blog to document the vintage furniture that I have found and painted. This chest came from my first visit to newark and now sits in my foyer. I really like the ochre shades which went really well with the ambience of the room. It is one of my favorite places in the new house, it always feels warm and sunny even in this miserable summer! I have paired it with orchids and an oil painting.
